The Linked Geo Data project is work in progress. The following issues exist:

Linked Geo Data.org is not yet bi-directionally live synchronized with OpenStreetMap, updates however are pushed back through OpenStreetMap via its REST API,
the information schema might require some cleansing and/or mapping to existing vocabularies,
no data dumps are yet provided for download.

We are working on resolving these issues, so stay tuned by monitoring our blog or subscribing to the LOD mailinglist.

Currently the 80.000 Open Street Map users collected data about 22.000.000km ways (roads, highways etc.) on earth. 25.000km are added daily. The Open Street Map database also contains a vast amount of structured information about points-of-interest such as for example shops, amenities, sports venues, businesses, touristic and historic sights.

Open Street Map data extraction currently works on the basis of OSM database dumps, a bi-directional live integration of OSM and our Linked Geo Data browser and editor is currently in the works.
Triplify spatial data publishing, the Triplify script for publishing linked data from relational databases is extended for publishing geo data, in particular with regard to the retrieval of information about geographical areas.
LinkedGeo Data browser and editor is a facet-based browser for geo content, which uses an OLAP inspired hypercube for quickly retrieving aggregated information about any user selected area on earth.

Aim

The goal of this project is to publish OSM geo data, interlink it with other data sources and provide efficient means for browsing and authoring. We aim at working as closely as possible with both the OSM and LOD communities.
The project currently consists of three components:
