DIG Reasoner Installation

We can recommend the usage of FaCT++ (recommended: latest version) and Pellet (recommended: latest version) as reasoners. Note that you can also use the OWL API reasoner interface, so installing a DIG reasoner is optional.

Installation of FaCT++

Linux:

• download and extract FaCT++
• use a shell and change to the bin subdirectory of FaCT++
• execute e.g. «./FaCT++.Server -port 8081» to get FaCT++ runnning on port 8081

Windows:

• download and extract FaCT++
• run «FaCT++.Server.exe" -port 8081 in a console

Installation of Pellet

Linux:

• download and extract Pellet
• use a shell and change to the Pellet directory
• execute e.g. «./pellet-dig.sh» to get Pellet runnning on port 8081

Windows:

• download and extract Pellet
• run pellet-dig.bat in the Pellet directory
